Programme Overview
The Career Direction Lab is a structured group coaching programme designed for professionals seeking clarity and confidence in their career path. Whether you are navigating a role change, considering a promotion, or simply looking to reconnect with your work in a meaningful way, this six session programme offers a space to pause, reflect and to help you make intentional, well supported career decisions.
You will be part of a small group of like minded professionals, sharing the journey and benefiting from collective learning and peer support. The programme blends evidence based coaching techniques, positive psychology insights, and practical strategies from an experienced HR management professional to support both your career development and wellbeing.
Format
We’ll meet live each every fortnight for 90 minutes via Zoom. Sessions focus on building clarity around your values, strengths, and career goals, while also supporting participants through coaching with common challenges such as self-doubt, procrastination, and managing fear. You’ll receive time and space to reflect and apply creative exercises designed to deepen your insight and empower your next steps. Each session will also include time for Q & A to ask all your questions.
In the week between sessions you will receive a bi weekly Lab Report (by email), to support you in igniting your carer spark. It will provide, short videos , recommended resources based on topics discussed and journal prompts where appropriate to keep encouraging you to move forward between sessions.
Programme Content
Throughout the six sessions, you will complete your own personalised Career Direction Portfolio, including assessments and reflections on:
- Core values and how they influence your work choices.
- Character strengths and skills relevant to your career goals.
- Career confidence and what it means to you.
- Interests and competencies that can unlock new opportunities
- Personality traits and their impact on decision-making
- Impact of AI on current roles and skills v future needs.
Sessions will also cover evidence-based topics such as:
- Crafting a realistic and motivating career development plan
- Researching and evaluating future career possibilities
- Managing imposter syndrome and overcoming procrastination
- Applying hope and goal-setting theory to your career journey
- Building resilience by managing fear and stepping outside your comfort zone
- Exploring meaning and purpose in your professional life
Each session includes space for questions and tailored support around your unique career challenges.
